Most of us who have purchased the stock HD touring headets have been less than satisfied with its performance in they playback mode but happy with the microphone performnce. zother solutiond offer just the opposite. Please take a quick moment to help me understand who is happy with what and which direction we should be heading. Thanks
I personally do not have a headset, but am considering one. I have talked to many people about this who have told me the following..... Chatter Box sucks - don't waste your money. I have heard time and time again form folks that use these all the time, there is no way to beat Autocomm... they are spendy, but well worth it. again, don't have one yet, but I will be getting an autocomm when I do.
J&M all the way, the new Elite "OF" with the bass tubes are like night and day with the HD sets. The company is top notch to work with. Pricy but worth it
I've got an '07 on order. Perhaps I was led astray, but...it's been said that we get one of those headsets along with the purchase of the bike. Is this not true? While I'm waiting, I'd order another one. But, if I need to get both of them I might wait and see about another alternative as the other manufacturer headsets mentioned. Thanks.

My 06 Ultra Classic came with a complete headset. Kinda surprised me when I got home. It was in a plain white box in the tourpak.

Been there....done that....don't make my mistake.....buy J&M Elite for your second set....you'll end up with one for you too when you hear the audio....intercom marginal with both systems IMHO
you get one with the 07's. I dont have anything to compair them with. easy to install. Music is ok but if you are a demanding music lover you might try someone who has a jm set I hear they are the way to go
I appreciate the input on the helmet headsets. I've got several issues that I'm weighing in with that decision as well. First, I'm somewhat of a 'half-helmet' guy. So, that limits my purchase options I'm sure. However, I'm willing to invest in an alternate "3/4 helmet" in which to adapt a J&M Elite. I'll set this up with the idea of the wife on the back. However, I'm also concerned with the open air feeling of listening to music off the bike's speakers since it might allow a tad more comfort in being able to listen to the sounds around me through traffic. I'm sure there is a trade-off in just about everything. But, if I'm on the open road, and with the wife, I'm sure I'll be wanting something with some decent quality. I always want to save some money, but the "biggest bang for the buck" is far better than just saving a few dollars and regretting it. Thanks for the information guys. I appreciate it.
