The **** on my volume control is broken; it is just hanging there in the slot. It does not raise or lower the volume. It broke with the volume up so I can still hear the radio while riding on the interstate. I am about 1400 miles from home, so I will get it fixed when I get back. I am currently in Kansas City on my way from Sturgis, I called to get it fixed, but no luck with no appointment and not really keeping me from riding it.
Is there a trick that I do not know about for making it louder? I thought about plugging my intercom headphones into the rear passenger slot and using the volume control there. This should work until I get home, hopefully in two days.
There are two springs on either side of that "button". One of them is broken. Same thing happened to my cruise control "button".......on the road, on the way to Lafayette, LA. It is an easy and quick fix if your dealer has the part. No big deal.
