Well I just talked to Cardo, they said that while they are not made for 1/2 helmets that some people have gotten them to work by being creative on the mounting, they also said getting the ear phone speakers to mount is the hardest part, would have to have some sort of ear / chin-strap inserts to glue the speakers into. I just bought a new Harley Hybrid 1/2 helmet so don't know if possible. Maybe some of you guys out there that have gotten this system or similar systems could chime in with your methods and maybe a pic or 2.
Thanks

You can do it by making a pouch that velcros around the "Y" on each side of the helmet straps. You can make it out of leather or cloth I would think. I believe someone actually sells something like that, but I can't remember who right now.
Went from Dallas to THUNDER BEACH 2010 with buddy and used the G4's. Best money I ever spent on electronics for bike. These things work great with the HJC IS-33, even though it's a 3/4 helmet. Rode 14 hours one day and battery held up. I received several calls at 70 mph and they couldn't tell I was on bike. The hardest part is figuring out how to use them. Always used the always on instead of VOX. I made one call to wife that went to voice mail that I didn't know I made. It recorded 20 minutes of us talking. LG Chocolate supports voice and I must have done or said something. If Cardo does anything I wish they would write a new manual.
I will have to check about a ear piece for my helmets. To me what would be ideal is to have the small male /female connectors on the wires going to the earpieces, then being able to unplug the original Scala earphones and plug in my Bose earbuds. This then wouldn't require any helmet mods to the straps. This would be no problem to do myself, except it probably would void any warranty. I have had my Bose buds for 10 yrs, they still sound awsome. I would just cut their wire long enough to match the Scala length or my head ( whichever fits best) then either add the male/female connectors or just solder on. How does this sound, anybody done something similar?
I would like to butt-in here and ask if the mic is in the open does the wind mess with reception. My wife and I have tried all kinds of radios with throat mics, and we just sent back ones we bought from planet headset. My bike is loud and combined with the wind it is virtually impossible to here or make out what each is saying. We have helmets that are open faced and the mic is out in the open. So will the G4's work with this arrangement.........thanks........two-dogs

Wind and bike noise not an issue at all. They are designed for this application. When we communicate I do not get any wind noise at all
Sync your Droid to the Zumo and then pair the Zumo to the G4. It works great. That way you only have 1 device paired to the G4. It makes getting and placing calls so much easier as when an inbound phone call is being made it comes up on the Zumo's screen and you can either answer it or send it to Voicemail with a simple touch on the screen
