I don't have any experience with them on a Harley, but I went through every seat company out there trying to get comfortable on my VTX that I use to own. I ended up with an Ultimate and it was far superior to everything else I tried.
I had an Ultimate on my Metric bike and it was worth EVERY DOLLAR I paid for it. My wife a a one piece 2-up seat on her old metric and she swore by it. I now have a Sundowner on my RG now that has been customized by Mean City Cycles and as far as touring seats go,I would not trade it for anything else. IMHO you can't go wrong with any of those brands in the touring section.
The Ultimate seat is a great seat! If I remember right Del is the name of the owner , great guy to deal with along with everybody else in his small family run business!
Like hivoltg said above, the Ultimate is comfy on the VTX. I owned a VTX and sat on several aftermarket seats to see how they felt. I didn't sit on them for hours, but most aftermarket seats were an improvement over stock. When I sat on the Ultimate for the first time, my thoughts were of an easy chair... I got one and could run the tank empty, fill up and go again. If the Ultimate seat for Harley is as good as the one for the VTX I wouldn't pass it up. When finances allow I will be looking into getting one too.
I have a 2008 Ultra. The stock seat was wholly unacceptable. It felt like it was pushing me up onto the gas tank. I tried a Harley Tall Boy. It sat me too far back, did not accomodate a back rest and was not otherwise comfortable. I installed an Ultimate Seat which is very comfortable. In my opinion, it would be impossible for there to be a more comfortable motorcycle seat. The only draw back, if there is one, is that the seat must be covered when it rains as the memory foam will take on water through the seams because, for comfort reasons, there is no plastic sheet between the foam and the seat fabric. I am 6'2", 225 lbs and have ridden 650 miles in a day several times with no sore butt complaints. The Ultimate Seat with back rest is a bit pricey but worth every cent. I will never have another seat.
