I put the Kriss on my 07 ultra Classic and 09 FLHP ( I sold the Ultra) and have had no problems with it on either bike. I believe either are good. Halfbreed

Not trying to hijack this thread, but will the modulators work with the Flash2pass openers?

Check out this one. I have no personal experience with it.

I have the Kriss model # H45003 with HD upgrade (extra $10) and run a Piaa 80w/80w H4 bulb with no trouble... Make sure you read the Federal Law and make sure the modulator conforms to the regulation... SOME DON'T, but my Kriss does!!!

Great thread; I've been planning to order a headlight modulator for awhile now but have not taken any action to do so... until today. Just placed my order for the Kisan headlight modulator for my Ultra as well as one for my BMW R1200RT.

Signal Dynamics Dianmond Star Headlight Modulator with Heads up Alert. You can turn it off and on and it has lots of other features.

Ordered the Kisan on Tuesday and got it on Friday. Installed it yesterday and took the Ultra Classic to Milwaukee for a big party at the HD museum and in downtown Milwaukee. All I can say is you sure get double takes from drivers. You can see the light pulsating when it reflects on the road signs. I'd recommend one of these no matter what brand you get. Great invention.

I just returned from a vacation to Yellowstone and the Black Hills and observed that touring bikes with both the headlight and two passing lamps were more conspicuous than those with only a modulating high-beam (as the passing lamps turn off when the high-beam is engaged). Is there a reason why modulators are for just the high-beam?

The Kisan site states (FAQ's): It is much easier to control the modulation in daytime with the Hi-beam.

Having never used a modulator, why is this true?

Which one did you order for your 09 Touring Bike? The P115W-A2W?
