Default Headlight Modulator Choice

The thread a couple of days ago got me interested in getting one for my Ultra. There's 2 major manufacturers and are about the same price. Wanted to know which type the members of the forum are going with. Don't want this thread to get into a pissing match about the modulators. Just interested in which members are preferring to purchase and why.

Looks like the 2 brands are either:

Kriss

Kisan Tech

I have no experience with the Kriss and haven't even heard of it, but I've had one Kisan Pathblazer on my last two bikes since 2004, transferred from the old to the new in '06. It has been reliable and I've had no problems with it except one small one. A wire on the senor connector that plugs into the unit broke and I fixed it by using a connector from an old computer sound card. I would recommend these based on my experience.

I installed this one on my new to me bike. http://www.comagination.com/modHarley.htm I bought the combo deal with the 4 flash brake light also. The Modulator is plug and play. The brake light flasher is not - but easy to install.
I used the Kisan on my old Ultra - it woked great also.

I have the Kisan - easy to install and works just fine. Tell them you belong to forum and they will give you a discount.

I've used a Kisan in the past and it was rock solid and dependable. Had one of those other that cost around 48.00 and it was not as reliable as the Kisan.

+1 on the Comagination modulator. I've had mine for 2 years now and it works great. Was very easy plug-n-play install.

OK.. thanks. Sent them an E-mail letting them know I'm a forum member. Looked at all the websites and this brand seemed to be the best.

I went with the Kriss because it only requires a singe modulator for the RG dual-lights. It took a whole 15 minutes to install and was simple plug and play. Works great. Zip-tied the sensor just below the fairing and it works on hi-beams so i can turn them off if I'm on a group ride and don't want to annoy the riders in front of me.
