Seen a post on here earlier about bug removal. Just thought I would let you know that I tried this on a recommendation from a friend. My local HD dealer just started carrying it as well. It ain't cheap... but it is the best bug remover and all purpose cleaner I have ever used. According to him the more you use it the better it gets.
All I know is it cleaned my bike and truck very well, and... like the bottle says bugs damn near slide off. Just passing the info along it works for me.
Since I purchased my 2009 Road King in May of 09 I have been using a product called FW1. It is called a "High Performance cleaning wax with Carnauba"
I have actually washed the bike twice since I got it. The water is so bad here a wash results in instant water spots. So, I hand detail it about once a month.
As far as bugs on the windshield I spray a little cleaner on a rag (old t-shirts) the bugs wipe off with very little effort, let dry, then buff with a dry rag. Works great.
Stuff averages $15.00 a can on e-bay and a can will last me 6 months easy.
