I basically follow the directions on the label.

I don't "wash" my bike with water, per se, just use the products.

The bug remover, for me, doesn't seem to work too well.

I like the aerosol spray. I will spray on early, and let soak, and hit the big bugs pretty heavy, then without wiping, reapply and use as directed.

Windshields, I use Novus 1 for cleaning, and Cee Baileys airplane windshield wax...

Save your money, the bug 'remover' just doesn't work. I get better results with a very wet wash cloth (hot) followed with wax.

I've found the best bug remover (besides water) is Bug Slide made in WI. Just search for it on the internet. I buy it by the half gallon.

I use HD spray cleaner and polish.
Bike was detailed.
2 coats of the HD cleaner and polish.
Hot damp cloth takes off all of the bugs very easily.
Put another coat on.

Default bugs

cheapest way that works great...50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water. The peroxide costs about $1 for a 16 oz bottle. Try it...if you don't like it...your out a dollar
