dawg, was looking at the +2 sweepers for my 07 UC. Do you happen to know if I would need to replace anything other than the clutch cable for that swap? Can't seem to tell from their web site but they look to be the closest to the +2 up and +2 back I need to get rid of this nasty little pain between the shoulder blades!
I replaced the clutch and throttle/idle cables on my 04. Originally only replaced the clutch, but the throttle/idle was a little sticky so I changed them out also.
Thanks so MUCH everyone!
I am finally able to remove the seat, and guess what I've found underneath of the seat: a hydraulic adjustable backrest.
All I have to do is flip the switch and the backrest will move forward and I can lean back and forth to find the best position for my back.
I am very happy, and the dealer has given me this backrest as part of the deal.
I am not sure that I need to replace a new handle bar yet. I still have to ride more to get pass the broke-in. There is only 48miles on it, and I don't have time to ride at this time. I ahve to wait until next week.
Thanks again everyone!

I have the same issue as you, 5'8" but I purchased the Reach Seat from HD for my Limited, and I have the Back rest with the three notches (not the Hydo) and I still feel like I'm having to lean forward. So I'm having to think about different handle bars, parts and Lab about $700 ouch. Also lowered frnt end, and have the Low profile shocks, more ching...lol When they went to the new frame they based it off of a six foot person, versus the old frame which was 5'8"...it's hell being short lol!
Good to read the post though.
Not just the arm reach to the handle bar, I have to take all other factors in the consideration. If i have a longer handle bar, then I will seat toward the back, which my foot will not reach the highway peg comfortably. It is nice that my backrest is adjustable, and I think I have found the "right" position for both arms and legs.
I guess this matter is varied on each individual, arm and leg length.
I am new to the HD, so there are so many things that I need to learn, for instance, modify the bike to have a better response at higher gear. I have noticed that at 6th gear, there is not much power to accelerate, or it is kind of slow.
I have no clue about modifications at this time. need to read more.

Thanks much Dawg, looks like this one will be by my wrench and not the dealers, they want way to much for parts and labor for this swap.
No, I don't think you can do anything with the stock handle bar. For me, I just adjust my seat position in coordinating with the baskrest.
You can loosen the clamps and lay the stock bars back a little bit but not much. Be careful if you have any accessories attached to the bars cause if you lay them back to much and then turn them you will hit the tank.

Thanks much for the tips. I think I need a service manual to do this kind of works. This is my first HD, and it appears that I have to remove the fairing to be able to loose the handle bar clamps. I really don't want to mess up anything.
