There are 4 bolts on the clamps. To do all 4 you would have to remove the outer fairing, radio, ignition, and the fairing switch cap. Some only loosen 2 of them and adjust then re-tighten the 2 bolts. Anyone doing a swap should go with the one piece clamp like on 08 and later

3 screws are on the front (hold the windshield on), 2 screws are located under speakers (1 each side), and 2 screws are located down under and behind the fairing skirte (1 each side). Go to the DIY section here or do a search that will lead you there for "batwing removal with pictures" and it will show you their respective locations.
