Do a search on here, its been done a couple of times that I recall. Overall they all said it was pretty easy. To be honest, there is no reason not to buy an 09' or 10'. You should really look into it, because with the new frames its a total different machine.

easier said than done. the 07 road king is paid for. cheaper to buy the parts and have them painted the color the wife likes (suede blue pearl, current color of said road king).

Why not just update to a new rg?More benefits than just the front fairing.

Here you go. I changed my Road King Classic into a Road Glide this winter. To answer those of you that say why not just buy a new bike, for me is was all about money. I did my conversion for about 1800 with paint and it would of cost me a hell of a lot more to buy a new bike.

Why spend 20000 plus on a new bike when there is a perfectly fine one sitting here. I personally do not like the new frame change.

Been thinking of doing the opposite, going from RG to SG on my 2010...
have a inner fairing and new outer fairing, fairing bracket and headlight assy....don't know how much more I would need
