Back in May 2007 Latus Motors offered a Tires For Life Program. It was a new program for the dealer and they didn't have all the answers to my questions at first, but called me back a few days later. In a nut shell the person that sold me the service told me Tires for life meant as long as I owed the same motorcycle I would get tires and labor at no cost, this also included if I was 100 miles from home. I have been using this program since May 2007 without a problem. I have gone thru a few sets of tires having almost 120,000 miles on my UC.
Today I call for a service and maybe needing a front tire the service gal tells me my Tires For Life Program has expired. To make a long story short I talk to the financial person and tell her when I purchased the program I was told it was the life of the motorcycle. She went on to tell me that is not how it works. I was not giving up that easy so, she told me she would talk with some other folks and find out what she can do. In the end Latus Motors is standing up to what they had me believe Tires For Life meant. It would have been easy for them to denied me and fight me all the way, but instead they took the approach that I was told Tires For Life was just that, Tires for Life of the bike, not 3 years later.
did you get anything in writing when you bought the bike? i'm curious, as to how a '...for life' program can expire? i understand not offering anymore, but to discontinue it for someone who already has it? thats just wrong....

Just a piece of paper that reads "Tires For Life" When I purchased it was so new they didn't have a form so I had the person at least write it down and sign it. I'm like you how does a life program expire and that is what I pointed out to the person I talked to.
The old boston harley delership sold a free oil change for life for $99.00.When bruce rossmeyer took over they did not honor it and still do not. They said different owners,we didn't sell it no luck.
I don't know if I would say they are a "stand up dealer". It sounds like they would have screwed you if they could have got away with it. Your persistence paid off but I bet the next guy who doesn't want to ague wont be so lucky.
