Can you use too much? ....If the aplication calls for say 2oz, and you put 3oz, will this cause a negative effect on the balance of the tire or not?... Thanks.

Had a problem with my front wheel pogoing 1" to 2" at 80mph. I removed the tube(with dyna beads) and put in a new tube and rebalanced. Trouble went away. I emailed Dynabeads, about my trouble and they said too much dynabeads could cause that problem along with oily or damp air from the compressor that blew the tube up. My bikes a flhtcui with a standard front tire(130) and I used 2oz of dynabeads. I can't say, for sure, what caused the trouble.

Ever since I tried Dyna Beads in the rear tire with tube (laced wheels) I've had a sonic vibration. I'm going to try replacing the tube and do a real balance. Before the dyna Beads it rode great. I'm not trying to bash Dyna Beads.....try just don't work for me. However, I do use them in the front tire and all is well. 03 FLHRCI

Thanks Gentlemen. I guess I'll just put in an oz or so in each tire, and see what happens. I have no weights on now had have a good bit of viberation with my new Dunlop E-3's.

The dyna beads website has a table to tell you the amount based on the tire size. I would think that would be the place to start. I use 2 ozs in front and rear for my 2010 as recommended by the table.
Because of harmonics dyna beads may not always work, but for 99% of the folks they will smooth things out. Water or oil in the tire/tube could cause clumping, this would probably cause some vibration.

Thats what I did, 2oz in front and 2oz in rear per the website, and my new E3's are smooth as glass from 0 to 100 mph. They work good for me
I've been running w/ dynabeads in my '03 Ultra for some time now (2 oz front and 2 oz rear) w/ and w/o the wheelweights and the ride was glass smooth at those amounts (per factory recommendations).
Just installed a new Metz 880 on the rear and mistakenly put 3 oz in when I mounted it last weekend. Rode 500+ miles on Monday and Tuesday and had the same glass smooth ride and no harmonics issues.
A buddy just recently borrowed my kit prior to our IBA 1000 ride, and put 1 oz front and 2 oz rear on his Suzuki V-Strom and said that it was the smoothest ride he ever had on that bike.
Another buddy put 2 oz front and 2 oz rear on his new Victory Vision, and has a high speed harmonics issue that we traced back to the beads....he is in the process of cutting back to 1 oz in both tires to try.
Note to self: When you tell your buddy's to replace the beads they use from your kit, make sure they replace the correct amount. That's how a 3 oz packet ended up in my new rear tire.

I just changed my tube and got the wheel high speed balanced. It took 5 ozs. of weights to balance it, The rim must be out a bit. Must of been to much for the beads to balance. Hopeing for a smoother ride now
