Riders Backrest
Ok got a question. I have an '06 FLHTCi and I want a riders backrest but don't want to pay the 300 bucks for it so I went to E-bay and here looking for one. Can somebody tell me if a STOCK backrest from an '03 SE Road King ill fit my bike or will it not. There is a guy selling one that's why I'm asking. Or if somebody has one to sell I be interested in yours also.

ummmmmmmmmm.................I must be missing something here cause at the Chicago Harley website, the "discount" price says $239.20[sm=confused06.gif], but.............at the HD home page, the same part # item has an msrp of $209.95? How is the price @ CHD better?????

Are you sure you want one? I had one installed on my 06 ultra and I used it for about a week and my tailbone got pretty sore, till I realized I was setting on the steel riser that holds the pad in place. Needless to say I no longer have a back rest on mine.

I got one. Thanks for the advice. I will post later and let you know how I like it but I'm sure I will I rode a buddys for a 100 miles or so and lked it alright.

I just installed a Utopia Backrest today, It is very comfortable, even matches to stock seat material. It wasn't even close to $300. With shipping it was $185.00 And extremely easy to install.

Check the 2006 HD Catalog. I bought a pillow style / Detach. backrest from the local dealer about a month ago. i beleive the Cat. cost was 189.00

When thinking about the rider backrest check out the adjustable one. I had a fixed one on my roadking and I put the adjustable one on my Ultra, I really like the adjustable backrest, worth the extra money--my .02.
