Default progressive 440 install question....

The instructions with the hardware kit for the prog. 440's says to use 1 shouldered sleeve, and 1 washer per shock eye.

the stock mounting hardware has 1 washer, and 1 lock washer.

Do I just replace the stock washer with the progressive washer? or do I use the progressive washer in addition?

stock setup is:

motorcycle body -- shock -- washer -- lock washer -- bolt

progressive setup is (?):

motorcycle body -- shouldered sleeve -- shock -- progressive washer -- lockwasher -- bolt

Thanks!

I have a 01 Road King and just installed them. A much better ride than the old air but I'm noticing a little vibration at higher speeds (60-70). Does anyone know the correct torque for the bolts? The instruction that came with the scocks are not clear. They require that the shock mounts have a minimum clearance of .02" to insure the mounts are not binding and show a pic of a .02" clearance between the mount and the and the flat washer. Don't know how you can do this as the bolt also has a lock washer. How tight do the bolts have to be?

I would follow the instruction included with the Progressives. It's their product, and that's how they say to mount them.
