Well, I'm on 1.0.3.1, even though I just bought this about 6 weeks ago. You wouldn't think I'd be two versions behind, but apparantly I am.

As I understand it, if they've trimmed to whatever value is inputted (20, in my case), they will stop adjusting, since they've hit the max. I kinda assumed that if I accepted trims a couple of times, the suggested trims should get smaller. Only they don't.

Alright, that's what I thought, and how I've been doing it. I haven't advanced or demoted maps, nor gotten or sent tables.

Thanks for your help with this.

Default autotune

(yes, the labels got on the correct modules). I triple checked on installation, and again after my bike began running worse.

So... if it's not that the autotune modules are reversed, then what?

What is the proper procedure for accepting trims.

What is the difference between send map and advance/demote map?

what is send table/get table?

I put the original FM map back on my PC, but now I've changed cams and will change my fuel map to the one Keith sent me for SE204 cams. I just got the bike back together, and ran it around the block with my current map, to make sure everything is working properly.
When I heard the original description, the first thing I thought of was the auto tune was trying to tune each cylender with the data from the other cylender. I would try to put the original map in and swap the modules and see what happens.
I bet it starts to tune it right.

Default Problem Resolved !!!!!

Thanks ICLICK!!!!

First of all, I checked the autotune modules to make sure that module #1 (written #1 with permanent marker on the module) was connected to the front cylinder and module #2 was connected to the back cylinder.

Check... everything was wired correctly.

Next, I upgraded my Power Commander software on my computer to the latest and greatest. Then I downloaded the original map that ICLICK sent me to the power commander. I verified that the autotune values seemed to be correct by starting up the bike and watching the values while idling and then increasing the RPMs to about 2000. At 2000 the autotune values were in the mid-teens. Everything seemed to be working correctly!!!

Finally, I went for a few test rides. The first just about five miles. Got back home and plugged the bike into the laptop. The autotune tables were where I expected them to be. All values, but not maxing out (20). I accepted the trims and sent the map back to the powercommander.

The next ride of around 20 miles confirmed that things were working perfect!!! The autotune values were now in the single digits. I validated the changes before and after accepting the trims and they seem to be working properly. I few more rides and I will definately know if things are "back on track".

Conclusion.... I believe my old Power Commander software had a bug in it. Upgrading to the "latest and greatest" solved my problems!!!

Thanks once again ICLICK!!!

Scott

Glad it worked. Whew! Had it not I wouldn't have known what to do next.

Jamie told me v0.1.3.2 was giving some customers runability problems but not everyone. I used it for two months up to last week and didn't notice any issues with the bike behavior, but the software had an irritating glitch of not saving tables correctly. To save a table's values you had to first make your changes, then save the entire map and re-load it before continuing on to other tables. If you didn't save first and moved to another table the one you were working on reverted to the original values. I hope that's fixed now.

You guys upgrading the software be sure to also upgrade the firmware to v0.1.4.

Ok, so how do we do that?

I did update the software (thanks) but haven't had a chance to ride the bike yet. Hopefully this afternoon.

Fuel Moto has it now, and it should show up on the PC site soon.

Get the firmware file (v0.1.4) from the PC site, unzip it to your desktop, load the PC software with PCV connected, select Power Commander Tools > Firmware Upgrade and point to the file you downloaded.
