Synthetic oil will in alot of cases make it a little tickier up top.I switched over to Valvoline 4 stroke motorcycle Dino oil from Mobil 1 v twin....Much quieter top end now.

Mine is a ticker also... 2010 FLHR... sounds like a sewing machine upon decel/downshifting. Drives me nuts but everyone is saying its normal. I find that when I take my windshield off, its only barely noticeable. But now that I am old, I like the windshield to much to ride without it...

maybe I can buy a "white noise" Mp3 player .....
