Default Shock from switch gear housing.

I recently had the chrome replacements installed at the dealer. Didn't notice until I rode one day without gloves that the right side housing is live. I kept getting little shocks where my right hand touched the chrome. Only happens at high speed. (High RPM I guess.) Everything works properly. It may have been like that for about four weeks but I always ride with gloves. Anyone ever have this experience? I'm sure the dealer will fix it but there must be a pinched wire inside.

Never the switch housings but we had a bike come it one time that had 12 volts on the swing arm, charge wire from the regulater was between the frame and swing arm and had rubbed through on the swing arm side.

Update:
Dealer finds no pinched wires and cannot duplicate the condition. I felt the shock for more than two hours but I've seen things like this before. Gremlins again. To their credit they do not plan to charge me for the work. Thanks, Bergen Harley. Best dealer in the country.

Since the normal system voltage is only 12 V (up to 15 V at high RPM), you should not be getting a shock from that. The ignition voltage is much higher and will shock you. How you are getting ignition voltage in your switch housings is a mystery to me.

I have no idea but I'm sure that I felt current when riding at highway speed. I rode for hours and kept touching the housing and feeling the tingle. Not a huge jolt but it was definitely electrical. Now I can't duplicate it.
