yeah, I read the thread, and ordered one from Snap-on. I found out it didn't work either, and I still have to send it back to get the regular Torx 27. Snap on is very proud of their tools....not cheap !!

Good post! Read the thread but never had any problems with a regular T-27 so didn't rush right out and get one....and now I won't even bother.

The only torx + bolt Harley uses is on the fork pinch bolts on a dyna (T45+). I was in the Harley training school in Pennsylvania getting certified and our instructor (Jack) made it clear about it. It was the first time i'd ever heard of a torx +. The torx bits are rounded on the ends whereas the torx plus bits are flat.

I have never understood why some folks post information that is not true on a forum where we are supposed to help each other out.

Some folks just pass on info they have received before checking verification of said info.... Live and learn...Don't ever believe anything you hear or read or see...

that's the dangers of message forums. Some peopls know what they are talking about, and some don't. its up to you to decide.

I don't think so in this case. If you do a search and find the original post, it's more like he was going out of his way to give people mis-information. I wish I would've seen that post before he got banned, I would have definately called him out on it. Oh well.
