yeah, I read the thread, and ordered one from Snap-on. I found out it didn't work either, and I still have to send it back to get the regular Torx 27. Snap on is very proud of their tools....not cheap !!
The only torx + bolt Harley uses is on the fork pinch bolts on a dyna (T45+). I was in the Harley training school in Pennsylvania getting certified and our instructor (Jack) made it clear about it. It was the first time i'd ever heard of a torx +. The torx bits are rounded on the ends whereas the torx plus bits are flat.

I have never understood why some folks post information that is not true on a forum where we are supposed to help each other out.

I don't think so in this case. If you do a search and find the original post, it's more like he was going out of his way to give people mis-information. I wish I would've seen that post before he got banned, I would have definately called him out on it. Oh well.
