Just to add, I have BadDad's Stretched Bags and have never scraped. The front is lowered, and I have air in the back. Both factors have been covered here, how much the bike is lowered and riding style. I've followed guys who go over as far as they can go, they would have destroyed my bags by now if they had been on their bikes. I like the extra room in my bags, but I honestly didn't get them for that...I got them for the looks. I ride pretty conservative going into a turn, probably more so than I need to, but as I said before...no scraping.
Scorpion no biggie. But look at my signature bags still above floorboards. If I ever drop the bike it would be only way I'd hit the bags
That's what I'm thinkin. I've got my floorboards ground down pretty good but the bags have never touched. I've even scraped the floorboard brackets a couple of times, but not the bags.
I like your bike DuraGlide. What is the length of your bags? Is your SG lowered at all? Where did you purchase your bags and rear fender?
Thanks. The bags are 4" stretch. Bike has not been lowered from stock. The bags and fender came from TJD Customs. They aren't a "bolt-on" deal like some of the other bags out there but I paid $300 + shipping for the bags and fender on E-bay. Did all mounting and prep work myself and had a buddy shoot them.
DuraGlide, do you have more pic's of your bike? how easy was to work on the TJD product? how was the finish on the bags? and are you running dual exhaust and does it exit out the back or are they under the bag and not visalbe
Sorry can't tell from the signiture picture?

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/membe...-in-black.html No holes in the bags or fender so you have to drill for latches, lights, etc. Took some work to get the bags smooth and straight, finish on the fender was better. I fabbed a metal brace to support the fender tip. I'm running Klock Werks short Puffer mufflers that turn down under the bags

Now you guys having me thinking about going with longer bags. I was thinking possibly the the Sinister stuff with the side panels and some Big Radius pipes. It never ends
