Default Road King: Removing fender trim.........

What can be used to clean up the holes or whatever is left when the trim is removed? I much prefer the cleaner look found on the Road Glide but is it necessary to buy new fenders to achieve the same look?

Either buy new fender or fill and repaint is about the only ways to achieve the same look.

I found a same color fender on Craigslist from a SG. Much easier then filling holes etc...

Looks great on a RK in my opinion. Less Geezery!

Holy Moly, (how's that for geezerdom) when I had my RG Utracized, I put a Road King fender on it to get all that stuff (including the holes). They wanted to charge me for a new fender but I said no. They said, "What will we do with a clean RG fender that is color matched to your bike?" I said, "That is your problem." I didn't pay for the new fender - just the stuff that went on it.

It should be noted that the original fender not only has extra holes, but also a depression for the front fender tip light. It is probably cheaper to buy a new fender.

If you just want to clean up the look of the fender/front tire. We have two RKC that we put Fatboy front fenders on. My 03 I got the fender off Ebay for $100.00 and another $100.00 for Vivid Black paint plus about $65.00 HD Chrome install kit. Just another idea for you.
