Anyone here have Battistinis Shifter Levers? I need to know how they mount on the spline. I am looking to machine my own version of these but was not sure of the mounting. They look a lot cleaner than the stock ones.
Google is a wonderful way of finding answers...... too bad this does not have pics of the inside of the shift level hole. Maybe this pdf will help enough for you to fab a set up for yourself.

That is a start. Thanks for taking the time to Google. LOL I wonder if the screw they show tightening is actually just screwing into the groove on the shifter shaft. I guess the splines are actually an insert that is pressed into the billet or if it is pinned in somehow. Does anyone have this set-up?
I know I could just buy these but they want a lot of change and I have the ability and time to make this kind of stuff for myself so I hate to pay for it. LOL
I have it, it does mount on the spline. Heres the important part, the spacer lines up with the spline grove. When you go to tighten the allen bolt the shifter draws down on the spline.

I am a little confused. Doe the spacer somehow connect to the shifter? I thought it would just slip on ahead of the shifter.
Sorry to confuse you. The lever has groves inside it, it doesnt come threw like your stock one does.. This allows you to adjust the height to you liking. The spline has a channel which the allen bolt snugs into. If your spacer is correct it will not snug up and the lever will be sloppy. I had the kuryakyn heel shifter delete on mine before and I didnt want to waste the space. I put the lever on with it and the linement was all screwed up. So I guess what Im saying is if your going to make your own you prob will need to make your own spacer to.
