05 RKC Handling dilema
Mary in NY
Maybe after a little R&R you'll be back in the saddle again.
BTW I used to live in Sodus N.Y. Anywhere close to you?
Their service advisor said to me "WE'll put it back the way it was and you'll have to live with the pull"
Are they all ******** at Harley Dealers or what? Boy they sure think the public is stupid.
I had a few boot marks on the top of my right bag on delivery and their warranty guy told me "Thats not a scratch it was from the animal rubbing up against the barbedwire fence before the animal was slaughtered for it's hide"

I damn near burst out laughing in his face. I'll deal with that when I call H/D again.
Anyway I have my lemon law papers to fill out so I guess it's time. Too bad I really Love the bike. Oh well.[&o]
I wish you luck on getting something resolved one way or the other, I believe if you had dealt with a different dealer, you might not have gone through so much B.S., but maybe not.
Good luck,
John TN
Your right, it does stink. I have waited a long time to buy a new bike. Been bone rattling with the old shovelheads for the last 9 years. But I have to think of my health as well. I have severe osteoporosis in my spine. and by herniating the disc. I just am one step closer to really causing a problem. So it is what it is. But I cherish alot of stories and memories regarding being in the wind. Holding on to them forever.
Thanks - Mary
PS. If im not mistaken, Sodus is above Geneva. making that about three hours from me

They did tighten up on the neck bearings to get rid of the clunk they put in it by loosening them up.
Now I'm back to square 1.
I spoke to the tech that worked on my bike and he showed me that by moving the clutch cable higher in the "P" clamp on the left bracket you can get the bike to go straight. I tried it on the way home and sure enough he was right.
However by doing this your steering the bike by putting pressure on the handlebars with the clutch cable. So this was just like putting on a bandaid. Not really solving the problem, just masking it.
He told me that the alignment is on the nose and that all the Hd's are heavy on the left side. He had no answer for me when I asked him about the 60-70% that don't pull.
Oh well the search for a cure goes on.
.Have you tried the VAX-D yet? I had it at the Chiropractors office.
It worked wonders for my back. I bulged a disc years ago in the gym. Now I'm pretty much pain free unless I do some strenuous work then my back lets me know about it.
Hope you feel better.

Yes they are and should be put out of business. I am totally surprized the jerks did not hang a bowling ball on the right handlebar and call it close enough, ROTFFLMAO[sm=noooo.gif]
