Default Engine cutting out at high speed

My bike, 08 Ultra Classic, is acting much in the same way it did when I had the Fuel Canister problem with it cutting out at high speed. I have never wrenched on a bike with a computer before, all my previous experience was Carb bikes so I am a bit at a loss. The engine is basically stock except it has a PC III, Stage I K&N Air Filter and SE Mufflers.

Retrieved the DTC Codes, Odometer displays PSSPtb...

P0373, P1353, P1356; or CKP Sensor Intermittent and Frt and Rear Cyl No Combustion

S b1155; or Neutral Switch Input short to battery

SP None

t None

b C0562; I have no idea what this is.

If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I have a few long trips planned that are now on hold because I dont know if I can take this thing for any long trips.

Could all this be related?

Thanks in Advance

Nope happened while cruising at about 70MPH in 5th gear, roughly 3000 RPM.

Sounds like the rear cylinder might be going into heat management...Maybe a bad sensor or something.

All those codes could attributed to a low voltage/wiring issue upon looking at each one in the EDM. The crank position sensor being faulty could cause your engine to cut out. The C0562 is a low voltage issue with the ABS module.....again all low voltage issues. Check the connections at the battery, etc. first and then check all the other wiring to the various items listed by their respective codes. The engine cutting out would throw the combustion codes.

Hey all,

Still need some help...the bike is actually cutting out at any speed, even in the subdivision where speed limit is 25...

After checking the connections, all seemed fine, rode the way it should for several days then today it started cutting out on me again. Thru most of the same codes, under P - 0373/1353/1356; S - None; SP - None; t - None; b - C0562.

To me it acts more like Gas related, just like it did when the bad Fuel Canisters were in the bikes, mine was supposedly fixed back in Aug of 08.

This happened once last year also, and I took it in to the dealer. They said it was a bad Air Filter. That was the first thing I checked when it started acting up again this year. It has a K&N Air Filter, when I checked it I could see light through it in a few places, but I cleaned it and oiled it anyway. They also said they thought I had a problem with the connection between my PC III and the computer but since they dont work on PC IIIs they dont know for sure. I checked that also, there is no problems with the connection.

This is really starting to annoy me, just about everytime Ithink I can start to plan a trip with the bike this cutting out thing starts again.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again in advance...

Could be a faulty PCIII. I've seen a few that have taken a dump.

C0562: Device Voltage Low

It's reported by the ABS module. The book reports as possible causes:

• charging system malfunction
• excessive battery draw and/or extended idling in heavy traffic
• a weak battery
• a faulty system ground

Hope this helps, best regards.

Set everything back to Stock (Air Cleaner and Mufflers), removed PCIII, have riden almost 250 miles without a single hick-up. Bike runs about 25 to 30 degrees hotter than with the PCIII which is why I changed everything to begin with so I guess I will have to get a new Power Commander from Jamie at Fuel Moto.

Thanks to those who PM'd me and otherwise contributed to this thread also to Jamie for his assistance.
