Glad you're doing better than my wife's brother. He had both knees done in January at the same time and still can't get around without a cane. But, he is stubborn with the rehab people.
I have to have carpel tunnel surgery on my right arm but it is going to wait until after riding season.
I had a TKR on my left knee in 2005 at 48 y.o. I've had nothing but problems.
I totally nailed my knee by walking into a metal bar at the gym 6 mos. after surgery.
Turns out the prosthieis is loose and I need another surgery to remove it and replace it.
Like others have said, as long as I can get around, I'm leaving it.
Good luck for a speedy recovery.

I am already at the "five year" mark myself. Need it but keep putting it off. Had arthroscopic surgery done on both knees last Sept/Oct. Helped in that I am no longer in constant pain, now it only hurts when I walk.....Getting my ducks in a row and preparing to make life altering changes so I can afford to be off work with the surgery, then I'll probably get it done....right now, I'm headed to the DR this afternoon for shots in my knees so I can make it a while longer...leaveing on a 3K mile ride to Colorado day after tomorrow....gotta do it!!!!
