Default bike is twitchy.....

My bike isn't handling worth a damn right now for some reason. It's real "twitchy" when I'm solo. But when the wife is on the back, it feels a lot more stable. Now how the hell can that be? Any ideas on what to check for, other than air pressures? I'm wondering if my swingarm bushings are taking a dump. Bike has about 51k.

Check to see if you lost any wheel weights, check steering neck bearing, check swing arm bushings.

Might also have wheel bearings checked.

I had a '86 Classic that got that way once. It was the steering neck bearings out of adjustmemt on it. I tightened them up, and all was well.

You were probably getting whiplash from looking at women while your wife wasn't around...

Your rear tire squared off? Look at it from the rear and be honest about what a rear tire should look like. If it ain't round you have a problem when the road is crowned or when you lean the bike.
