Covers will scratch your paint if the wind gets to blowing them around. I only use one in the garage.......$20 Wal-Mart one.

Personally, I'm using an Yamaha cover from an old 1985 Venture. It says Venture along the side - gets much less attention in the parking lot. Find an old one somewhere that just doesn't scream EXPENSIVE HARLEY!

I have an Exigent but don't use it very often. Only when we travel and when I can't park the bike under cover.
It folds in a small pouch and I keep it in the saddlebag along with our rain gear.

Nelson Riggs is as good a cover as I've ever used.

+1 on Exigent! It is very small and leaves room for more stuff for the wife.

I would second the use of something more permanent like a Cycle Shell, or Bike Barn. They are a bit more expensive 300-400 bucks, but easy in, easy out, can put over the bike hot, stands up to wind well, and won't rub against the bike. I also put a solar trickle charger on mine to maintain the battery.

I still use the one that I got free through the Vulcan Riders Owners Club (VROC). It is an XL and fit my Goldwing perfect. Also my Ultra. Plus it has a theft deterrent on it..... It says Kawasaki :-)

to kind of piggy back on this post, it IS better to leave it out in the sun (VEGAS heat) and wind during the work day than to use a cover and get some scratches right? I've only had a flat black paint and now I'm getting the "brilliant Silver" finish on my new bike, don't want to F it up!

I am using the factory Harley cover on the Road Glide,

It was the only cover available on short notice for the trip I was taking.

It works great and has been through some very severe storms with no problems to the cover or bike,

It does take up about 2/3rds of the saddlebag, so I usually place it on the rack on the tourpack lid,

I use it at work and on trips.

No scratches anywhere, just protection from dust and rain and ******** who like to just go up to a bike and sit on it!!!!

Part number 98715-85VC
