looking at a dowco. not sure what model to get? my bike sits out all the time. thanks, vinnie
Personally, I'm using an Yamaha cover from an old 1985 Venture. It says Venture along the side - gets much less attention in the parking lot. Find an old one somewhere that just doesn't scream EXPENSIVE HARLEY!
I have an Exigent but don't use it very often. Only when we travel and when I can't park the bike under cover.
It folds in a small pouch and I keep it in the saddlebag along with our rain gear.
I would second the use of something more permanent like a Cycle Shell, or Bike Barn. They are a bit more expensive 300-400 bucks, but easy in, easy out, can put over the bike hot, stands up to wind well, and won't rub against the bike. I also put a solar trickle charger on mine to maintain the battery.
I still use the one that I got free through the Vulcan Riders Owners Club (VROC). It is an XL and fit my Goldwing perfect. Also my Ultra. Plus it has a theft deterrent on it..... It says Kawasaki :-)
to kind of piggy back on this post, it IS better to leave it out in the sun (VEGAS heat) and wind during the work day than to use a cover and get some scratches right? I've only had a flat black paint and now I'm getting the "brilliant Silver" finish on my new bike, don't want to F it up!
