Looking to get the wife a little more room on the 09 Ultra and space enough to put my back rest one more notch rearward. Kuryakyn has come out with a "Quick Adjust Tour- Pak Relocator, $219.99." Sounds really cool to be able to slide back, adjust up to 3" on a rigid mounted tour-pack by just releasing a couple *****. Any one seen one or have one in use ? Money is not real loose right now and it would really hurt to get off two bills only to find I made a mistake.
How much room do you need? I had an 09 EGC and needed more room for the wife. It has two settings. I removed the liner and drilled four new holes as near the edge of the metal plate as possible. got another inch that way. I have an 08 105th UC now. I had to buy the Tourpak relocator because the frame is shorter on the 08 and I couldn't get enough by drilling. She's now riding her own bike, so all my work
George Anderson's seems to be the popular choice around here. Cheaper than what you were looking at. Fixed by bolts, but options on how much room setting. Why would you want to slide it back in once it was in the roomy spot?

+1 if you're going to get a relocator go with George.
I would think four hole on the round rail is enough but putting 2 or maybe 4 hole and you might be weaking the design. just my two cent for 165.00 shipped go with george you won't go wrong.

I didn't drill the round support rail. I drilled four holes in the large metal plate that's in the tourpak bottom. Doesn't hurt the integrity of the tourpak or mount at all. Why spend 165.00 if you don't have to????
Mr Bill..
i just bought and installed that sliding adjustable relocater.. actually works really good.. the only problem i have nowis the wife is complaining the the crash bars that protect the saddle bags rub against her legs.. i never thought of when you move back the tourpak that rubbing the crash bars would be a problem,, Sooo, now i sit her, deciding what to do... leaving for Yellowstone in a week and ahalf.. might end up just sliding the tourpak back up where it was and NOT use by rider backrest..The reason i bought the darn thing in the first place.. unless soemone has some suggestions on what to do.. thanks.
