I have always been under the assumption that Pledge was a dust collecter/attracted dust! Spray it on a rag ...Dust is on it! Does it attract dust? I have 2 miles of gravel in/ two miles out to leave my house!! I have a dust magnet to begin with! Makes me nuts!! I really do not need any help !! Do I really wanna spray my bike down with it?!!
Actually Pledge repels dust. If you looked at furniture treated with Pledge on one side and the other side without, you will see the side with Pledge has much less dust on it. People spray it on the rag to polish the furniture and clean at the same time.
I use it on my bike and have been very happy with it. Not bad on the windshield either. Removes bugs pretty well. But gravel roads, sorry but you are hosed.
I was using it and thought it was pretty good (especially for the price), but the other day bought Lucas Oil Slick Mist. Wow, what a difference between it and pledge. Cost's more but I thought my Vivid black was more vivid and after a long ride the bike seemed to stay cleaner and the bugs came off easier.
Just my opinion, but I will not be using pledge any longer!
I use Pledge to wipe down the bike, chrome, windshield and all. It works great as a detailing type of spray. Just buy the unscented version of the stuff if you can. Yea it removes bugs easier from the w/s too as someone stated above.
