I know there is a lot of info out there I want to upgrade my speakers in my SG I am looking at hogtunes with or with out the amp or J&M 7.25 what is the best bang for the buck
thanks
Ron
I'm happy with my J&M 7.25's. Someone on here just did a writeup about having the J&M and adding a tweeter pod and is extremely happy with the results.
All I can tell you is that the stock size (5" or 5 1/2") J&M speakers sounds almost exactly the same as the stock speakers. I would make sure you go with something bigger and don't waste the money like I did on the small ones.
I have heard nothing but good from hogtunes. I almost bought a pair, but I had the J&M self amped chrome speakers on the handlebars of my heritage. The sound was so great from them, I decided to go with the J&M 7.25" speakers. I am very glad I did.
I can hear my radio just fine while cruising at 3,000 rpms with the volume at half level. Easy install.
I went with the J&M 7.25's and the 250watt amp, I purchased them from Dr Vtwin on this site. WOW is all people can say when the hear my bike. It is totally awesome. I highly recommend J&M's setup from Dr Vtwin, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Check out the Titan 6.5's too (Biketronics). Got 'em on my Streeter and they work great. Added an ARC 125 Mini and it'll go louder then I can stand at any speed. There's also Elf amps for half the cost.

I did the same thing then went to the Hertz 6.5 with the Arc mini and night and day on the sound. I have never heard the J&M 7.25's but I can tell you that the Hertz speakers Rock.
i got the J&M 7.25s.... was looking for better sound and easy install... i don't need to put on a concert.
Got them from DrV-Twin for $219.. shipped...... came in a few days.. instlled in about an hour.. didn't need anything else (connectors, tape, wire, etc..)
