Never knew anyone who died while riding. Visited a biker club that I used to belong to in Miami. One of the newer members which i spoke to a couple of times was cut off by a cager and hit a tree and died Friday night while riding to the club. Was 43 and a really really nice guy. Left a wife and teen daughter. Sergio was his name, may he rest in peace. Guys, be carefull out there too many idiot cagers.
They said if he had been wearing a helmet he would have lived. I wear one all the time but I do not know how they can really tell if that would have been the case.
sorry to hear. As far as the helmet is concerned I can only guess he must have died of a head injury that would have been minimized had he been wearing a helmet.
Sad to hear of such a senseless loss.
Hope they caught up with the driver for causing the accident.
As for the official statement about wearing a Helmet, it is pure PR trying to force the helemt laws on people .
If he where wearing one and still didnt survive I am sure it would have read/stated COD blunt force trama.
May he RIP.
Rob.
RIP and prayers go out to his family. I rode up on a downed biker today. He said he was changing lanes, going a little too fast and hit the curb. Got atleast a broken ankle and arm for his troubles. Please, Please, lets be careful out there.
My condolences to the family of the deceased. That`s got to be rude for anybody whose hindsight said he would have lived if a helmet was worn. The family doesn`t need any ignorant statements blaming the deceased. I`ve been hit by a car and a truck in two separate intersection accidents whithout wearing a helmet and had no head injuries (speeds were about 40mph)
