I wear Wiley X transition's with the foam inserts. I prefer the impact safety of them over standard sunglass lenses. There are other brands who offer the same safety of course.

It all depends on what you need. I have a crappy eye condition (keratoconus) that requires that I wear rigid contact lenses (or get a corneal transplant, or both). I need to keep every fleck of dust and other crap out of my eyes or I'm going to crash. Panoptx came along and I've riden with nothing else. One day I'll probably get a 3/4 helmet and shield.

I wear WileyX.

Not that you have to but, if you spend more money on any type/brand of eyewear you will take better care of them.

Oakley gascans for riding around town. Oakley oil rigs for longer rides. Both give good wind protection. When I head down to the cabin on the river (last 30+ miles are right along the water and the glare is insane) I break out a pair of shade 5 welding goggles.

on a budget i ride with safety glasses, ones with the proper curved sides stay put when you turn your head. If your wearing something and your eyes still water get rid of them. I dont ride with a windshield so on long trips i wear a helmet w/clear shield and sunglasses underneath when needed.
