I just joined the dark side myself, got rid of the ole fatboy and got a Roady. This thing rides like a Caddy. Cant believe I was missing out. Grinnin from ear to ear!!
I almost bought a gunmetal road glide when I bought my limited......loved it.....I just liked all the additional stuff that came on the Limited.....I like the road glides more and more now that it seems that everybody has the cookie cutter street glide....now those are a dime a dozen around here......
When I got mine, one of the main reasons was batwings were everywhere around here, I wanted something different. Now it does seem that I see more and more RGs around...
I see more Road Glides then I used to.
At least here in NH. I've also seen quite a few with Massachusetts plates running up here. The Road Glide has a following that is grown over the last couple of years.
I see them fully decked out for touring and others stripped down with short shields and apes.
I can't explain why people like the damn things they are so god awful ugly and handle like chit.
So its not just me who thought that (remember vetter fairings) fwiw
I like the extra room up front to stretch out and relax, and being 5'8" there ALOT of room stretch out. We used to call jap touring bike couches, and even living rooms, back in the day ...
the more things change the more they stay the same ...
btw - the instrument lights on my bike match the paint, at night anyway, looks real nice ....
