wondering if someone can answer this question for me. I am new to the "ultra" ownership and I'm a little confused on what the speaker switch is for. I know I can toggle the speakers off but there is also a middle setting as well as a lower setting on the switch. The middle and lower switch setting dont seem to do anything different. Am I missing something?
Both front and rear speakers work no matter which position the switch is in on my '09 Ultra. I haven't tried it yet but one switch position I'm sure controls the headset if you have one.
The settins are nothing to do with front and back. They are comm system or headset whatever ya want to call it, Spaekers only, and both. Enjoy the Ultraism, we all do and so do our very happy passengers. Happy Wife, Happy Life!!!
KRIS...
The speaker switch is used for headset, intercom, and CB. In one position (forward) the intercom is the only thing played through the headset; CB and Stereo are played through the fairing speakers. In the middle position, CB and Intercom are played through the headset and stereo is played through the fairing speakers. In the rear position, ALL sounds are played through the headset and nothing is played on the fairing speakers.
The lower position works the CB and Intercom, when it that position all music and voice come through your headset. When in the center position, music comes through the speakers, and voice communications come through the headset. When up (light on) all sound comes through the speakers, to include voice communications. Sometimes thats not a real good thing.
