Initial Dyno after a Stage 1 upgrade is 74 1/2 HP and 82.9 ft.-lbs torque. Engine builder at my dealer tells me 100+ hp and tq are no problem, will run on pump gas and mileage should not be too far from what I'm getting now, if I can refrain from too much throttle. Best thing is that I've been assured that the dealer will honor the balance of my warranty, where other dealers, same build, etc. tell me it can't be done. That's the selling point for me to have it done at the dealer where I bought the bike, instead of saving a few bucks having it done elsewhere.
The bike is a 2004 FXD, otherwise stock.
I've got the factory installed 95 in w/203 cams, stage 1 air cleaner and Rinehart True Duals. I dyno'd at 80 hp and 87 ft lbs. I know people running the 103s that aren't getting 100 hp. It usually takes some high compression pistons and flowed heads to get that kinda power.
Good Luck

I agree...my dealer had 1550 BB option that got right at 100hp and 100ft lbs. It took what I did to my BB option and added a different cam (more agressive grind) and ported and flowed the heads. It also programed the ECU for a slightly higher RPM range. My concern was changing the "stock" characteristic of the motor. The kit I did is just what i was looking for. It doesnt move the power too far up the rev band...and keeps the stock character of the engine.
Are you familiar with the mods taking the engine over the 100 mark and the problems that can arise with the crank bearings? They usually need to be retrofitted to the better bearing by zippers who mills the cases for the installation, just wanted to mention it before you pump it up any higher.

4th gear r:
Max Power= 82.2 @ 5400rpm
Max Torque = 90.6 @ 4000rpm
Air fuel ratio= 13avg.
The bike is great now, fuel econ is great and power is all I will need.
I drag raced my friends 03 Super Glide stage I, yesterday (rolling start) and we were equal up to 70mph then he just started to inch forward. I think if I were to have shifted to the next gear I might have went ahead again but we both backed off at the sametime. I would say wind resistance got to ME. We swap bikes sometimes and now it is very hard to get him off my bike. He got off my bike yesterday and said that is one sweet ride I could drive that bike across country very easy.

Sounds about right...power to weight is a H U G E equalizer. I thinkg the Super Glide is about 125lbs+ lighter than the EG/RK bikes.
I had the bike dynoed.

I raced my friend with the 03 Super Glide and we were even again and he did not move ahead. My MPG has not changed since the BB maybe even a little better. The drivability is great could not ask for anything better. I don't like all the heat coming up from the exhaust so I ordered V&H true duals. I will let you know any changes in performance and MPG also try to dyno again.

I have not done anything since until now with the duals.
