Improvements
Currently I'm thinking about a few bits I'd like to alter on my 2010 Ultra Ltd -
There's the seat - do I change to a lower seat with a better base, if so which one
There's the heat issue, I only have Screamin Eagle intermediate pipes at present, no other engine mods so do I go stage 1
Then there's the sloppy suspension issue, more so on the forks than the rear but possibly both could be upgraded.
The tourpak to go on a detachable mount like I had on my previous UC then of course I'll need a single seat too - I'd want to mount the tourpak where the passenger would sit to improve weight distribution but keep 'kit space'
So much to do and it'll cost a bucket load of readies - what do you have planned?

As my wife does not like to ride, I am seriously considering replacing the seat on my '05 UC with a good single and relocating the tour pack forward. Keep us updated if you decide to do anything like that so we (I) can see what all is involved.

I'll share with you what I've done to mine so far and what I have planned...
DONE:
Seat - first thing to go! Stock seat is an embarassment. I went with a Mustang because my a$$ likes them the best.
Slip-ons - I had SE slip-ons installed when I took delivery of the bike. Thought I liked the idea of an EPA stamp. Pretty much a waste of $350 dollars. Took them off
Stage 1 - Bought the Fuelmoto PCV/AC/Jackpot slip-on kit. Big thumbs up.
Speakers - Replaced stockers w/J&M's. They are better than stock and worth the money.
Windshield - Got a 8.5" tinted from Fastaire. Good, inexpensive upgrade.
Windshield bag - Got T-Bag three pouch type. Pockets are not deep enough for me and will be replacing that with the new Kuryakyn pouch when it is available
Air Cleaner cover - ditched the 'football' and went with the HD smooth, round one.
Front axle caps and a better looking front fender skirt added
Nostalgic saddlebag guards added
Locking lower doors added
Fuel door lock replaced w/button release
RAM handlebar mount and hard-wire kit for GPS added
PLANNED:
I'm going to be removing the headpipe and replacing it with a '09 model to remove the catalytic converter. Doing the Stage 1 helped with heat control, but it's time to go all the way and be done with the CAT.
I agree with you about the suspension. I am going to change my fork oil to the Screamin Eagle Heavy Duty type in the next month or so. I did that on my previous ride and it made a substantial difference. I will then think about getting rid of the air shocks or put up with them for a while. There are better options out there.
Hope that helps get your ideas going (and your momney spent).

I have a 6.5 Khrome Werks screen with a two pouch set up behind it
Also have the locking glove box doors, extended foot boards from Harley Goodies, back rest, Garmin Zumo set up. The odd bit of extra chrome but that's about it so far...
