Default Tools for tires

Leaving the 'Fix-A-Flat' on the AutoZone shelf, what would you suggest keeping in the bag for tire issues on long trips? Any trips for that matter.

I have the HD number to call for on-the-road service but that's a last resort. Regarding tire problems I thought plugs and related tools... anything else?

I'm just now starting more than locals and an so grateful to have opportunity. Did a 1200 mile trip, just got back from a 2200 mile and am planning a 5000. Aren't we lucky to have HD as a way of life!

Tkx!

I keep a small, 12V compressor and tire plug kit on the RK (tubeless) . The wife's Deluxe has the profile, chrome spokes (tube) so hers would be a problem on the road.

This is the tire plugger kit I use. I carry the Pocket Plugger kit in my saddle bag. $45-$50 depending upon where you get it. Make sure you read the instructions before you hit the road.

I have this kit without the c02 and a small air compressor that fits in my saddlebag.

After my buddy had a flat last Sunday and my normal tire plug kit didn't work I ordered this kit off ebay.

Watch a youtube video on it also for instructions.

I will also still carry my 12v air compressor. They sell for 10 to 15 bucks.

Slime, Ride-on, and probably a sticky ol' plug, are not gonna make your Dyna-Beads happy.

Good point. Of them all; the plug would be best though. Might get a few beads to stick to it but not enough to throw the tire out of balance I wouldn't think.

I'm gonna hafta get one of those Stop and Go plug kits.
