By far the best mod I have done and the one that get's the most compliments AND questions LOL.
I still get a tiny pain in between my shoulders BUT only if I don't stop for 90 minutes or more. The pain is nothing compared to what I used to get. I think a new seat is in line to help me a little more. No regrets here for sure. Get what you want, I chose Cyclesmith because I didn't want to wait for Yaffe bars (when I was ordering the wait was several months) and I wasn't wild about spending around 400 just for the bars from Bill at BR. I didn't choose Wild1 because they are not gloss and I wasn't sure I would like them (there 14's look to be the same height as CS 16's)
I have 13" Cyclesmiths. I used to get sore after 200 miles. Not anymore. I did a 600 mile trip a few days ago and not once did my back hurt. Seriously, it is the best mod I have done
well i went with 16" cyclesmiths i have used apes sinse i first started to ride at 17 years old. and havent been with out them sinse and i have had back surgury and i got no complaints with apes . good luck with your choice and ride safe.
.....my apes shopping experience has been that one company's 13" are another's 16"..... not sure what the deal is with that, but it is best to at least see a picture of them mounted, or better yet, actually see a set and try them out in person.....
I went with 16"'s.... i think!
I am 5'7" with arms like a t-rex.... just put on 1200m this weekend and I can't ever seemyself going back!
I used to think that apes looked odd behind a fair. The look started to grow on me. Then I got some. Apes would now be one of the first things I would do. It's nice having that pain gone.
