Rt 6 in Pa. From Warren to Wellsboro. +/- 175 miles. Has everything, some neat old towns you go through, wide open spaces, twisties, mountains, and little traffic.

I-75 between Detroit and Royal Oak, after 2:00 am! It's like running the gauntlet, with all the drunks, locals, drug runners, and lack of cops, it's a freaking Autobaun with no rules! Plus you get the added thrill of an occasional gunfight! Just Kidding - it's not my favorite!!!!

WV219, VA16, NC421, NC129, White MT's NH, Cadillac Mt MA, Etc, etc.. I could name 100's more.
I'll have even more after I hit the Black hills SD, CO, and AZ in 2 weeks....
There's just so much to see in this awesome country of ours!

How about Hiway 21 north out of Boise. Or from Jerome to Chino Valley Arizona.

I've ridden almost every road mentioned in this thread...Beartooth, Going to The Sun in Glacier, Chief Joseph, all over Southern UT, AZ, Sedona, Jerome, Grand Canyon (both rims) Tahoe, Yosemite, PCH, across much of OR and a good part of WA. Did over 10,000 miles and 23 states in 30 days last year...exactly a year ago in fact...WHY AM I AT WORK NOW???

Enough as I surely digress...in all of my travels, I enjoyed Hwy. 12 from Lewiston, ID to Lolo, MT perhaps the most. I love riding through tall stands of timber and along a flowing river...sunshine and cool air...small towns...

This is perhaps the first time I've seen a stretch of road that winds along a river for nearly 200 uninterrupted miles! The twisties are just enough to make the journey enjoyable...seldom did I even have to shift down to 4th, just ease off the throttle a bit and pull through the apex. This is probably my most highly recommended stretch of road in our great country!

I'll second those and add FM 170 aka River Road between Presidio and Terlingua in the Big Bend area.

I'll 3rd that river road, I remember that one section that was back to back to back humps that were so close together you could almost jump from one to the next.

Don't ever leave out 12 between Boulder, UT to Torrey, UT if you get close. Only place I have been that all I could see was STRAIGHT DOWN on either side of the road.....no guardrails either. They even have those special t-shirts like..."I Survived Highway 12" at the Texaco in Torrey.

+1 on that. It's not a really twisty ride but along that one ridge it's got a very unique pucker to it!!! Went through there last year around Labor Day and there was a forest fire back to the SW...as we came through the Capitol Reef Park the smoke was covering up the sunset and the orange glow was VERY surreal! Felt like we were cast in some post-apocolyptic survivor movie!!!
