My radio display likes to flip to the "Audio/Setup" screen and then flip through Treble, Bass, Fader, Balance, etc. all by itself. Then if flips back to the normal screen then back to the set up screen again. It's not continuous but it does it quite often.
I wiggle the switch around and it doesn't necessarily seem to effect it.
I ran the wires through the bars but I don't think that a chaffed or grounded wire would cause this problem.
My wife's 2007 Ultra always had a fouled up Aux display but I ignored it since she never used it. About 6 months ago the bike started coming up in Aux on startup even though it had been left in XM when shut down. I installed the new download for the radio system and all problems were gone.

Any ideas???
Chaffed or grounded wire could absolutely cause this problem, but more often than not, it's the switch. No software update will fix this.
As with most electrical issues, you need to wait for complete failure to diagnose. Here's what I have:
DIAG B2008
FC2 Short to Ground
PN 23-8 (BN/BK)
I'm guessing that there's a short in my handlebar wiring. FC2 would be on the left side?
The brown/black wire is in the left handlebar switch wiring and runs to the 23-wire connector in the back of the radio. You can check for that wire at the switch housing and inside the fairing.
