Wet Horn?

So last Thursday I got stuck in a pretty nasty downpour and everything was soaked to the bone.

Today I went to hit my horn and it sounded terrible and quiet. Are these things that water sensitive? Any suggestions on a fix (can I air it out or am I hosed)?

Just take it off, rotate it slowly to get the water out. Use some canned air to dry it out afterwards.

In Albuquerque, I rode through a deep "pond" in the dark. A water main had burst, and the water was about 3' deep where I rode into it. The horn got really sick and I was going to replace it later. But, in time, in dried itself out and works normally now.

Well I done my horn in on Saturday. Went through about 6" of water across the road during a storm. Thanks for the info, I'll try it. If it doesn't work, I'll have to order an air horn.

Just the other day our resident Hog Chapter expert was telling another rider with a non working stock horn to spray some WD-40 up inside the horn then hit the horn button, repeat until cleared out.
