I thought about waiting for the '11's More colors,etc... But I have narrowed it down to these 2 bikes. Personally I like the flat black with it's extras, but the tour pack is a huge sell to the wife....+ it's detachable. I guess for ME, I'd like the flat black.... for HER, the comfy seat.......you married guys understand my dilemma?
......D
If you like the flat black...then you have made your choice!! Good luck!
You will like the RG. Personaly I do not like the flat black but that is my tast.
Just figure on about 2-4K for add ons but you can get those latter at 20% off and do the work yourself. I would get the cruse and alarm system though. That should not add much.
I guess when your dealing with 2010 colors....you don't have a lot of choice... I would like to have the orange pearl....but my buddy runs a body shop & is one hell of a painter. So for a year or 3 I'd like the flat black over the vivid. I guess what I need to know is.... since the wife doesn't ride on my Dyna much ( I want her to ride with me more ) will the back rest suffice....

Why doesn't she ride with you much? If it is comfort that is keeping her off, the TP backrest is 10 times more comfortable. It also gives her a more secure feeling with the armrests. The Mustang backrest that I have has longer arms than the HD backrest.
She does'nt ride w/me now because the Dyna vibrates too much & make her itchy... It's not just her....My boys, 12 & 16 say the same thing!
I had a Sportster before this and my wife wouldn't ride very much either. She is a happy camper now. She enjoys riding almost as much as I do. We did 1000 miles this past long weekend and she was good to go longer. The TP makes all the difference. BTW, I rarely remove mine (just for cleaning).
I do have it set up with plugs on the light and speaker wiring so I can easily remove it.
From one Mass guy to another I would get the flat black one. You can always look for a used TP if you can't afford a new one. Buy a used backrest and try it out with her first. That is unless you plan on doing trips with her right away. If thats the case then get the one with the TP. I'm real happy with the black denim paint. Windex and a towel and I'm back riding again. I didn't get cruise and I missed that more than anything.
