Hi All,
I'm buying a 2010 RG tomorrow, I have my choice between 2 ( 2 different dealers). Any RG owners that can give me advice would be helpful.
RG#1 is vivid black with a tour pack
RG#2 is flat black with cruise, security, & back rest ( with 4 pt detachable hardware )
Do you think a passenger would be content with a back rest VS a tour pack? other than that the RG#2 is $10. a month cheaper....
I couldn't get momma real happy until I added a tourpak. She just feels more comfortable-according to her over riding with a backrest. And cruise should be an easy addition. Enjoy your ride!

It all comes down to...."is momma comfy"?
thx............D
I think I can help you. You will want the tourpak for comfort and to carry all the gear you'll need when riding 2up. You can see that I have the VB and it is a lot of work to keep it nice. The flat black might be easier. You might want to consider adding a TP to RG#2. You should be able to do that for around $600.

PM me if you have any questions.

600 bucks for a tour pak?? I think they list around 700 bucks, then add the pad for another 175.00, detachable mount is about 175.00 the list goes on........lock cylinder kit 35.00. He may find a 20% off but he would still be up there in price.
I thought about waiting for the '11's More colors,etc... But I have narrowed it down to these 2 bikes. Personally I like the flat black with it's extras, but the tour pack is a huge sell to the wife....+ it's detachable. I guess for ME, I'd like the flat black.... for HER, the comfy seat.......you married guys understand my dilemma?

Yes, you're right. Here is my list for the Tourpak. It does add up. Prices are approximate.
1. King Tourpak - $600
2. Quick disconnect mount - $300
3. GA relocator - $150
4. Mustang backrest - $300
