I did think about it, but I'm just not sure if I would be ahead of the game oppossed to having a speciality shop do the work..?? I'm all ears though.....

Well today I did some calling around on what to expect for head work. First one quated me $600 for stock specs and $900 to port and polish. Another well known shop told me for for that kind a money they better be gold plated! He told me worst case scenario $300 and that ported and polished. This seems like a no brainer to me..?? So now I need to make up my mind on whether or not to step up the cubic inches. He told me that 95 cubic inches would be plenty, especially if I want to keep the longevity. I'm going to get some prices on rings and pistons tonight.

You should RUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNN fast from anybody that tells you a port and polish job on top of rebuild will be $300.00, purely will be a case of you get what you pay for.

Theres a reason all the REPUTABLE head builders get what they do!
