Default 4" Windvest on StreetGlide?

I'm looking at Windvest's replacement windshield for my SG. With the stock 4 incher, buffeting is terrible and I can't hear the radio well at hwy speeds. My question is, will the 4" Windvest help or would I be better off going to the 6"?
I'm 5'10" tall. Any insight is greatly apprediated.

Windvest is a good choice I run the 8 in darkest tint they got ,I still see over it ,I;m 5' 8'' .Just my opinion but I dont think the 6'' is enough to make a diff. in buffering the wind. been there, done that.

Another question... Is Windvest's "gunsmoke" tint similar to the OEM tint? How 'bout their "black" tint? Is it solid black, or still slightly transparent?

I have the 6" mainly because I also have the T-Bag Windshield bags and they would not fit right with the 4". It worked out well. I still get a bit of buffeting but I can now run down the freeway without my shades bouncing all over the place. I believe the dark tint is close to the stock shade and, yes, the black is opaque. The 6" isn't available in black, if I remember correctly.

the gun smoke is a little lighter than the stock but looks good. And the recurve is sweet

Thanks guys, I think I'll go with the 6" Gunsmoke. I can get one off eBay from BK Rider for $103.99 + $8.00 shipping. Are there any cheaper places?

Default 4"Windvest

I use the 4" windvest on my 08SG. I am 5'7". It is dark smoke tint which was close to the stock color. I tried the 6" windvest but found I looked through it more than I wanted to and at night it became a problem. The 4" works fine for me up to about 65mph. I wear a strap on my glasses at higher speeds to keep my glasses tight to my head. Buffeting was cut way down for me. My bike as well as my seat have been lowered.
