Question Rear Braking Shutter!

Need advice on a problem that just came about at 10K. Applying the rear brake the pedal shutters, and so does the bike.(09 ultra). Things that have been checked are the rear pads, rotor, belt tension, and axle for proper tourqe. What I discovered is when your moving and hit the engine kill switch, pull in the clutch there is no shutter when the rear brake is used.
The bike has ABS and when you brake hard you can feel the ABS kick in. If the front brake is used at the say time the shuttering is not as bad! Any ideas before I go to the dealer?

Thanks HiTech

My 2010 RG does the same, spoke with a guy I ride with and his Limited also shutters. There was a thread about this issue.

My 2009 does it as well. It's been like that since new. Haven't been back to the dealer yet so I'll watch this thread closely.

I have it on my 2010 Limited as well. Seems really bad when I initially start out in the AM. After about 1 hour of riding its almost gone completely.

I'll have to try using the rear brake on my SERG I recently bought to see what it does. All I ever use is the fronts to stop. About all I use the rear for is to hold the bike still at a stop light or when I get the garage door opener out of the right glove box to put the door down when I am leaving my house.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I sprayed a ton of brake cleaner on the caliper, pads, and rotor, then made a couple of really hard stops, and it went away.
