There's two kinds of rider's...those that have gone down and those that are going. I think I read that on here somewhere and it is true. *knocks on wood* I haven't gone down on a bike since 1979. It was totally my fault. I was looking at a flag girl. She was very hot and smiling at me, which of course made matters worse. Unless you're gay (not that there's anything wrong with that), I'm sure you would've been looking at her too. Anyways, it was tough lesson learned. Pay attention!!

It happened to me last week. First time in over 20 years, I guess I was due. I was getting ready to pull out of an oddly sloped drive when a cager pulled in front of me and I grabbed the front brake. Even knowing better sometimes doesn't help. Minor scratches on the bottom of muffler and bag. I didn't even want to look till I got it home but they are hard to even see. My pride was the only real damage.

I have to say I see alot of people here saying that dropping the bike is normal. Is this for real? I have been riding since I was 7 and have NEVER dropped my bike. My step dad rode for many years and NEVER dropped his bike either.

I don't think anybody is saying that it's "normal". Like I said in my post, I hadn't dropped one for 20 years. I think the point is if it happens dust yourself off and get back on.
