its generally cheeper to take it off then add it,i used to say i would never use cb or intercom, not any more use them both had a removable tourpack on my last bike and the only time it came off was once a year for the deep clean.
Buy the Ultra Limited. The $3000 over the Ultra is well worth it! As for ABS, I totaled my 08 Road King because a tour bus changed lanes into me on the freeway. I was in the carpool lane with nowhere to go so I had to hit my brakes fast and hard. My front brake locked and I went down at 70 mph. ABS would have saved me!
I bought a 2010 Ultra no ABS with security, ABS on a bike is worthlessfor me because I dont ride in the rain and I have also applyed the front and back brakes very hard at the same time and never lost traction, It is just another was for HD to make big bucks. Also right now its a buyers market. you can get 1000 to 2000 off msrp plus free prep and shipping
Security, & ABS, REd Hot Sunglo. FOund a RHS with Security only, went home to think about the ABS & also had trouble pulling the trigger. When I went back to the loco co, bike was sold day before. I was ok with that, they had the Flame Blue Pearl w/o ABS, loved the color, last bit of thought was my lady on the back and needing the ABS only 1(one) time and NOT having it, told me to get it with the ABS.
Turns out, loco co had to get from another dealer in town and it wound up being in Red Hot Sunglo, the color I initially wanted.
I don't understand Krworld, he says he does not care for ABS and posts a Youtube video showing it saves your *** 37% moreof the time.
Yup... I don't care for them my .02..... been riding a lot of years without read plus and minus about them. As for the video... the OP has to make up his own mind and that is just one of the videos out there, there are probably hundreds and sure it shows a big difference in the braking on a wet surface but did the rider with the training wheels really brake for a wet surface or did he just lock em up? Panic is your worst enemy as far as I am concerned.....
