Ultra is the way to go if you can afford it. I consider ABS a mandtory thing, regardless of some of the opinions on the forum. If money came down to it, I would buy a Classic with ABS over an Ultra without the ABS.

If you ever need them the ABS will be the best $845 ever spent. Just bought a 2010 EGC last week and that was the only thing I was sure of. Good Luck

When I got my 09 I wanted an Ultra with ABS. Color was not as important, but I've grown attached to my Dark Blue Pearl.

The extras on the Ultra are very nice, if you use them. My wife and I use the intercom all the time, the CB not so much, but I enjoy having it the few times a year I use it. I have a buddy who's going to buy a new bike soon, and he's going for a standard EG, he says he never even uses the radio, so why pay for it.

Get whatever color speaks to you, and don't worry, you'll like it more a week after you buy it.

I bought the Classic and wish I had bought the Ultra after 3 years. The cruise, the CB/Intercom, all the extra lights.. it's worth the money and you'll be glad you did. The detach tour pack.. I put that on, and never take the tour pack off anymore.

Only you can make the decision for colors and styles.... ABS do some reading and there are plenty of You tube videos on it! You need to make that decision also... personally I don't like them!

You are intitled to your opinion, but I wouldn't be making a statement like this to a new buyer. ABS brakes should be mandatory on all Motorcycles. They have proven in many test to save lives. I can tell you for sure, they saved my butt Father's day. We were riding accross a mtn. I was in the lead. my wife was on her new Trike and was in the rear behind two other couples on Bikes. A young man pulled out in front of me. I got on the brakes hard and had to swerve to the right to go around behind him. If I hadn't had ABS, I would more than likely locked the front wheel and went down. I would have probably slid under him. So don't tell me they are overated!!!
