1fltri4me ,and crok thanks for your input, i have had the bike since new,it has about 7900 miles on it. I had the oil changed at 5000 . I was being sarcastic about the color because of lipsters post. I was just trying to get alittle insight before i took it to the dealer. I have taken it to the dealer before at about 3000 for the same thing but he said it was fine. Like i said i might be just paranoid but i want to be sure.. It is still under warrenty so i wanted to be sure it wasnt me.

The sewing machine noise is the signature twinkie sound. I run 50w dino oil in the summer and it cuts down on the top end noise quite a bit. I switch back to synthetic in the fall when the temps drop.

Dino oil just for the crankcase, and like I said, just during summer months.

Could it be your cam chain fallowers? ? ? My sons Road King started to sound funny at 28,000 miles, it was the cam chain fallowers on his 04 RK.

My 06 road king had a similar noise also at 7900 mi I brought it to the shop it was a nut inside the primary case that came loose and was rubbing against the case it can't come off because of the case being in the way but can eventually cause damage. Good luck Dennis
